Creator Trust Score explained
Short version: A creator trust score summarises audience quality, engagement, brand safety and consistency in one number, and a good one also shows how much of it is backed by verified evidence.
Follower count tells you how big a creator is. It does not tell you whether the audience is real, whether the creator is safe to work with or whether they deliver. A creator trust score tries to answer those questions with evidence, so brands can make faster, better decisions and honest creators can prove their value.
What does a trust score measure?
The Kitscore Trust Score is a number from 0 to 100 built from four areas:
- Audience Authenticity: whether the audience looks genuine.
- Engagement Quality: how actively the audience responds, judged within the creator's niche.
- Brand Safety: content and compliance risk, such as paid-partnership disclosure and controversy history.
- Content Consistency: whether the creator posts regularly and reliably.
Why a confidence rating matters
A score of 80 based mostly on self-reported claims is not the same as a score of 80 backed by verified data. Kitscore pairs every score with a Confidence Rating (low, moderate or high) so you can see how much of the number is verified. Evidence is weighted by how it was verified: live platform data counts for more than reviewed uploads, mutually confirmed campaigns count for more than self-reported claims.
Track record, not just profile
Alongside the score, Kitscore shows a creator's Reliability Score, which reflects delivery on sponsorships that both the creator and the sponsor have confirmed. That makes it hard to fake and useful for brands who care about how someone behaves as a partner.
What a trust score is not
A score is not a guarantee of any deal, and it is not a judgement of creative quality or character. It is a well-evidenced starting point. Use it alongside your own checks, such as our vetting checklist, a clear contract and escrow.
How creators can build their score
- Connect your platforms so data is live-verified
- Upload analytics exports and campaign evidence
- Disclose paid partnerships clearly and consistently
- Ask sponsors to confirm completed campaigns
- Keep a regular posting rhythm

Frequently asked questions
What is a creator trust score?
A number that summarises how trustworthy and reliable a creator is as a sponsorship partner, based on audience quality, engagement, brand safety and consistency.
Is Kitscore the same as KikScore or Kscore?
No. Kitscore (kitscore.co) is a creator trust-scoring and sponsorship verification platform, unrelated to other similarly named products.
Can a creator improve their score?
Yes. Connecting platforms, uploading evidence, disclosing partnerships and getting campaigns confirmed by sponsors all strengthen both the score and its confidence rating.
Does a high score guarantee a good campaign?
No. It is a strong starting point for decisions, not a guarantee of results.
